Kaif started her modelling career at a tender age. Ever since then, there was no looking back for her. Katrina continued modelling in London under a contract with the Models 1 Agency. She also did campaigns for houses like La Senza and Arcadius, and walked on the ramp for London Fashion Week.

Kaif's modelling work led to her discovery by London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film Boom (2003). Though the movie bombed at the box office, Kat became a popular name in the domestic modelling world.
