It Took Three Years for 'Cocktail' Girl Diana Penty to Clench a Film. But, Finally!
Remember Diana Penty? The stunning model who had debuted in Bollywood with Saif and Deepika starrer Cocktail in 2012? The woman got no good offers even when the film remained a big success at the box office. But now, Diana is back with a new project where she plays female lead to Abhay Deol in Happy Bhag Jayegi.
The film is being produced by Anand L. Rai who is known for directing films like Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu. With Happy Bhag Jayegi, Anand will be marking his production debut.
While she was away, Diana Penty was busy with other modeling work commitments. Her instagram is flooded with pictures of travel and leisure. While is carved a niche for herself as a model, she could not replicate the same success at the box office. Only time will tell how Happy Bhag Jayegi fares.
In a recent interview with a leading daily when Diana was quizzed about why she took so long to sign her second film after Cocktail, Diana divulged that she wanted to sign a film that could match up Cocktail’s standard. She went, "The sabbatical helped. I have grown as a person and am more comfortable in this space now". She added, "No regrets, everybody takes their own time. May be I have taken a little longer than the others, but I wouldn't do a film unless I was happy about it. Then, I'll give it my 100 per cent."
Talking about the film, Happy Bhag Jayegi is a comedy film where circumstances urge a punjabi bride to run away on her wedding day to Pakistan.
